The Balcony's Birthday Party
"The Balcony in Silom Soi 4, celebrated its 12th Birthday Party on Thursday 6th May.
The party started with free drinks and buffet for the members followed by a variety of cabaret acts including Australian comic magician ‘Don Crawford’, popular singer ‘Tong’, several performances from members of The Balcony’s own staff and of course ‘The Balcony’s Dancing Waiters’. Staff long service awards preceded the cutting of a magnificent birthday cake, which was enjoyed by everyone in the Soi.
The party finished with a lucky draw with several prizes. Thanks go to everyone who helped make the party such a great success."

Chinese New Year in Silom Soi 4
This year the Chinese New Year coincided with Valentines Day and the combination of events erupted into a riot of colour, noise and a lot of fun.
Silom Soi 4 was awash with illuminated hearts, red lanterns, red roses and elated people. At 9.00pm a troupe of Chinese Lion Dancers came to entertain the crowds with dancing, music and acrobatics to herald in the year of the Tiger.

Christmas & New Year in Soi 4
Silom Soi 4 has seen a bumper year for visitors during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Christmas was celebrated in many venues with traditional meals, parties and visits from Santa Claus whilst New Year was a riot of celebration with every venue and the Soi packed with revellers.

Silom Soi 4 Christmas Party
The Silom Soi 4 Christmas party on Wednesday 16th December was a riot of colour, dance and sound with the terraces of both Telephone Pub and The Balcony filled to capacity with merry party goers.
Performances from four different groups of Thai artistes enthralled the crowds with their innovative routines and ensured that Soi 4 got off to an excellent start to the Festive Season

Isann Party 2009 - Balcony
" The Balcony in Silom Soi 4, Bangkok held its annual Issan Party on Tuesday 1st December. Many of the staff from The Balcony hail from North East Thailand so there was a truely authenic feel to the party. The Buffet was a great success with spicey Som Tam freshly made before your eyes, trays of deep fried frogs and assorted bugs plus lots of other local fare.
The entertainment was provided by a professional local dance troupe "Isaan Swan" and supplemented by The Balcony's own dancing waiters who got the biggest cheer of the night for their Isaan line dancing in the Soi. Another great night of entertainment in Silom Soi 4. Many thanks to everyone who attended."

Halloween Party 2009 – Silom Soi 4
Silom Soi 4 was buzzing on Halloween Night with several hundred party goers in ghoulish make-up and costumes, all out to ‘Trick or Treat’ their friends and fellow revelers. All the venues and terraces were full to capacity.
A costume contest in the Soi, sponsored by Finlandia Vodka and Southern Comfort offered a humorously macabre pre-midnight interlude. The contestants, who had evidently spent several hours preparing their costumes, paraded for the assembled crowd and judges were cheered on by their friends and later prizes were awarded.
A terrific and terrifying night in Soi 4 was had by all.

Old Time Music Hall
Thursday 27 August saw The Balcony hosting another charity event for Thais4Life. This time it was billed as “Old Time Music Hall” and a capacity crowd in Soi 4 saw a dazzling array of acts: Miss Jason; Dolly John; Ruby Munro; Lucy Lastik; The 9 Night Club Show and The Balcony’s Dancing Waiters.
The three hour show included a voluntary collection from the audience plus a charity auction which raised much needed funds for the charity.

Pink Olyimpics
The Silom Soi 4 “Pink Olympics” took place on Thursday 20th August with large crowds and plenty of Fun Games for everyone to join in. All the venues in Soi 4 took part and this year saw several customer competitors. The interval included a sportswear fashion show by the boys from 9 Night Club.
Participants could choose from an array of events: Musical Chairs; The Sack Race; Formation Skiing; 3-Legged Race; Frozen T-Shirts; Tug-of-War; High-Heels Sprinting and Limbo. Prizes of medals and bottles of spirits were awarded to the winners after each event and the ‘Soi 4 Sportsman of the Year’ trophy was given after votes from the crowd.

Telephone Birthday
Telephone Pub, the oldest gay pub in Bangkok, celebrated its 22nd Birthday on Sunday 14 June with a spectacular party for customers and friends. Flowers from supporters and other bars adorned the newly renovated Telephone for its special night.
The Soi was filled with well-wishers watching the specially prepared Birthday Shows, drinks were on sale at just 22 Baht and a huge cake and lucky draw rounded off a most successful night.

Nine NightClub's latest show took to the stage on Tursday 28 May. Entitled "Dude Du-De @ 9 NightClub", a hot selection of well muscled guys entertained the crowd with a catwalk dance show that blended with stars from the regular nightly show
