The Balcony 10th Birthday
Silom Soi 4's Fun Pub, celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Tuesday 6 May. Magicians, clowns and novelty balloon blowers toured the crowd whilst the waiters performed traditional and modern dance routines in the Soi.
Free drinks and a free buffet was on hand for The Balcony's members plus a gigantic Birthday Cake, souvenirs, two lucky draws and awards to staff members who had completed 10 years service completed the line-up of entertainment."

Songkran Festival 2008
"Songkran in Bangkok ... and the only place to be if you want to party is Silom Soi 4. This year's event was the wettest and busiest anyone can remember. During the afternoon all the action was on Silom Road where the Metropolitan Fire Brigade helped to keep the party flowing but by nightfall it seemed like everyone in the city had descended on Soi 4."

Khun Tai's Birthday
Telephone Pub celebrated Khun Tai’s birthday with a party that was a fun-filled night on 19 March with free drinks, entertainment, & of course a huge birthday cake. Khun Tai would like to thank everyone for making his birthday such a memorable evening and for so many friends that donated to the Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu.

Isaan Party
Thursday 20 March. One of The Balcony Pub's regular Isaan Parties entertained the Soi with a spectacular set of acts. Performances of traditional and modern Isaan entertainment from a troup of live singers and dancers, a comedian and The Balcony's own Dancing Waiters kept the capacity crowd amused for nearly 3 hours. Tourists and regular customers alike all commented that this was one of the best Isaan shows that they had seen in Soi 4 for many years.

Sparkling Day
"Luminous Disco in Silom Soi 4 has a show nightly featuring "Sparkling Day" and her accompanying cabaret act. Day who used to star at the (now defunct) Freemans disco brings an entertaining and diverse show to Luminous and regularly plays to a packed house as an amusing interlude to the heavy house music. The show starts at 11.45pm nightly."

Valentines
Silom Soi 4 was The place to be in Bangkok on Valentines Night. Love and romance was in the air mixed with a plentiful supply of fun and laughter. Red roses, red and pink hearts, champagne cocktails and strawberries, waiters dressed as Cupid and a special show by The Dream Girls all combined to make the night special for
everyone.

Chinese New Year
The Balcony held a Chinese New Year Party on Thursday 7th February to welcome in the Year of the Rat. The cabaret included a star studded line up of Maisie Trollette, The Dolly Sisters and some traditional Chinese dancers and singers. A packed Silom Soi 4 watched the 3 hour show which included a lucky draw and collection in aid of the charity Thais 4 Life.

The Lounge 4 Show
Silom Soi 4's newest bar is drawing big crowds to The Soi with its live show that takes place every night at 1130pm. Performed in the street and entertaining not only their own customers but also those of all the adjoining bars; The Dream Girls Show sponsored by Lounge 4 is a big success and great entertainment for everyone.

New Year's Eve in Silom Soi 4
New Year's Eve 2008 in Silom Soi 4. All the venues were packed with merry party goers all determined to enjoy themselves with most venues continuing until about 5.30am. The midnight countdown saw thousands of balloons fall from the rooftops and champagne corks popped all around. Throughout the night, Cafe 4's Dream Girls gave continuous performances of their hit numbers from strategically placed rostrums down the Soi and towards dawn, The Balcony's Dancing Waiters took centre stage. It was the best and busiest New Year's Party that anyone can remember in Soi 4 since the Milennium.

Christmas in Silom Soi 4
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were busy times in Soi 4 with superb Christmas Dinners being put on by both The Balcony and Telephone Pub. Cafe 4 and Lounge 4 has been entertaining us with shows from The Dream Girls and we have even had a visit by Santa Claus.

Christmas Cabaret
The Balcony in Silom Soi 4 held it's annual Christmas Cabaret on Thursday 20 December. A packed Soi 4 saw Mr. Norman Vernon compère a fantastically diverse range of professional acts from: The Thai Tom Jones; Maisie Trollette; Geoff Vernon; Dolly John; The Fresh Beach Boys Dancers and El Duo. The Cabaret was a charity performance in aid of the Camellian Centre for children with AIDS and a voluntary collection and auction raised Baht 20,000 for this needy cause.
Thank you to everyone who donated and to all the performers who gave their services to the charity.

Man Maneewan Concert
The Balcony's Christmas Concert took place on Thursday 13 December to an enthralled and very busy Silom Soi 4. Featuring the legendary Isaan singing star Man Maneewan and supported by a professional dance troupe plus The Balcony's own dancing waiters; Man Maneewan kept the audience captivated with his talent for over an hour performing his recent hits and other notable Isaan favourites.

Café 4 Birthday Party
Café 4 in Silom Soi 4 held its 3rd Birthday Party on Sunday 25 November. Neighbours and a host of other well-wishers presented baskets of flowers; the dream girls gave a well rehearsed, glittering performance and the Soi was packed with party goers. Congratulations on their 3rd Birthday and we hope to see many more in the years to come.

Miss Jumbo
It was a night to remember. The Finale to Bangkok Pride Festival 2007 was the Miss Jumbo Contest held on Saturday night, 10 November, in Silom Soi 4.
A packed Soi with a capacity audience saw the array of over 20 contestants parade past the bars, climb onto the dais and then descend gracefully to thunderous applause.
The largest girl topped the scales at 130 kilograms and there were awards for Miss Popular; Miss Congeniality; two special awards from bar managers; plus the two runners up prizes and the winner’s prize of Tiara, Sash, Trophy and Cash.

Isaan Party
The Balcony’s Isaan Party held on 8 November during Bangkok Pride Week was widely acclaimed as one of the most successful and entertaining parties of its type in recent years. A professional Isaan cabaret troupe entertained with live singing and dancing; supplemented by The Balcony’s own dancing waiters and one waiter who performed a traditional Thai dance in a lavish jewel encrusted costume.
The tasty and freshly made, Isaan buffet was eagerly consumed by the capacity crowd although few farangs were brave enough to sample the ‘bugs’.
It was a special night that many visitors will remember for its authentic Thai atmosphere, good natured fun and expert entertainment

Mr.Pride Contest
Bangkok Pride Festival 2007 commenced in style on Saturday, November 3rd, in Silom Soi 4 with a 'Kick Off Party' at all the Soi's venues plus a contest to select Mr.Pride 2007. A packed Soi saw 15 contestants parade before the judges and customers were asked to purchase ribbons to select the Mr. Popular award. It was an outstanding start to the annual Gay Pride Festival and fitting that it should take place in Silom Soi 4 ... where most of Bangkok's most popular Gay Venues are situated

Halloween Night
Halloween on Silom Soi 4 is the biggest Halloween Party in Bangkok and this year, as usual, it featured a costume contest. The whole length of the Soi was packed with all the bars, restuarants and terraces full of happy party-goers

Mr. Silom Soi 4
It was the men’s turn to parade on Thursday 13 September. In a show similar to the Miss Silom Soi 4 contest the previous week; twenty handsome hunks took to the catwalk to display their talents in front of a packed Soi 4. Voting for the title of Mr. Popular raised over Baht 20,000 for the AIDS Temple in Lop Buri – the title being won by a member of The Balcony’s staff. Other awards and trophies were collected by five contestants during the thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining night.

Miss Silom Soi 4
The Miss Silom Soi 4 contest took place on Thursday 6 September. Thirty Two contestants lined up to be judged for the title with a capacity crowd filling the terraces of all the Soi 4 bars. Voting for the title of "‘Miss Popular" was done by selling ribbons; the profits from which will go to the AIDS Temple in Lop Buri.

Silom Soi 4 Fancy Dress Party
The Silom Soi 4 Fancy Dress Party held on Thursday 23 August was widely credited as one of the most successful Soi 4 Events this year. Sponsored by Absolut Vodka, the party featured 'Spot Prizes' for the best individual costumes; a charity costume contest for Bar Staff in benefit of the AIDS Temple in Lop Buri; a wide selection of talented local and international singers plus an outstanding performance from Cafe 4's Dream Girls. An impromptu fashion parade by guests and performers plus an auction of vouchers from all the Soi 4 venues raised over Baht25000 for the charity. Thank you to everyone who attended and gave so generously.

Silom Soi 4 Pink Olympics
"The Silom Soi 4 Pink Olympics held on Thursday 19 July was a tremendous party with all the bars in the Soi competing in games of fun, skill and strength. Sponsored by Tiger Beer, the games included a ‘half-yard of ale’ drinking contest, a lucky draw and a performance from The Dream Girls. The night was a fund raising event for Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu, The AIDS Temple in Lop Buri. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously during the night."

Mr. Rainy Season 2007--Another fun event on Silom Soi 4 at Telephone Pub. This annual event as become very popular with customers and contestants. Voting for Mr. Popular was hot and heavy as the customers bought ribbons.

Balcony
Wednesday night, 27 June 2007 saw the customers of The Balcony amazed and fascinated by the magical arts of Win-E; also known as the Thai Yuri Geller. Card tricks; cutlery bending; mind magic and hypnotism were just some of the tricks performed during an extraordinary and entertaining event. Win-E is a member of the Society of American Magicians and also an elite member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
